Hoops Madness

Families and friends fill the stands to cheer on their team during Hoops Madness!

Inspired by March Madness, the NCAA college basketball championship, Hoops Madness offers kids and adults a chance to play half court, 3-on-3 games of basketball, and participate in a variety of shooting contests. Players are encouraged to form teams of four (three players and a substitute), or they can be placed on a team the day of the tournament. Brackets are based on specific ages, and children compete against his/her peers.

All players will receive a CHCA Hoops Madness t-shirt and are eligible to participate in the 3-point, foul-shooting, and half-court shooting competitions. Families and friends are also encouraged to fill the stands and sidelines. Throughout most of the day, six games will be going on at once and, in between games, players can warm up and practice their shots. NEXT PLAY BASKETBALL is one of the event's sponsors and provides basketballs, referees, and coaches to help players in between games. Food and drinks are available.











The price for children 5 to 18 years old is $20, for adult CHCA Members $25, and for non-members $30.

How do I volunteer?
Volunteering is a Chestnut Hill tradition. The CHCA has many committees comprised of volunteers planning for our events and addressing a variety of community issues. We always welcome new volunteers! Another way to get involved is to run for a seat on the Board of Directors. Board members serve for 3-year terms and meet on the fourth Thursday of every month except December. You don’t need to be a member to join most of our committees. How can I sponsor an event?
The CHCA holds many events throughout the year, including the Pastorius Park Summer Concert Series, Movies Under the Stars, the Fall Frolic, the Chestnut Hill Holiday House Tour, the Chestnut Hill Holiday Parade, and the Hoops Madness Basketball Tournament. We invite businesses and individuals to sponsor any or all of them. It’s a great way to increase your exposure with those who live and work in Chestnut Hill.
